When your digestive strength fluctuates, it may create more Āma(waste product of incomplete digestion).
Āma can clog the fine channels and capillaries of the lungs with mucus.
So, Best way to keep your respiratory system In balance, is the fine-tune of gut health (Digestive Health) and boost immunity.
Some ways to keep your respiratory system in balance:-
1]. Abhyanga:- (massage on skin)
(Always use any drugs after the prescription of certified medical practitioner. Abhyang is also a part of panchkarma so, I'll not recommend to practice it at home)
The skin is the largest organ in the body, and daily massage with warm oil can help loosen impurities in the many layers of the skin.
It opens the pores and channels, move toxins to the lymphatic system for elimination, and in turn stimulate digestion—all of which helps immunity.
Follow your massage with a warm bath or shower to increase circulation, warm your body, and flush out toxins.
After massage is a great time to do a steam inhalation with Clear Breathe.
Place 2-3 drops of Clear Breathe or vicks vapoRub in a pan of steaming water. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam for 5-10 minutes, being careful, not to burn yourself on hot surface!!
2]. Aerobic exercise :-
Daily aerobic exercise, such as walking briskly for 30 minutes in the fresh air is helps your lungs and heart work harder, expanding their capacity to supply oxygen to your body and brain.
The result of the aerobic exercise is more efficiently functioning heart and lungs, plus better digestion.
And whenever possible, exercise outdoors in parks and away from highways or pollution to bring the best quality of oxygen to your lungs.
3]. Don't let more stress :-
have you ever noticed that, when you feel more stress, your immunity takes a hit?
to keep your stress level low, do meditation and yoga.
You also can practice breathing deeply from your diaphragm to reduce stress.
If we are constantly under stress, the muscles of the diaphragm become weak, and all our breathing starts to come from the chest are.
So, stay away from over stress, is important factor to maintain the respiratory health.
4]. Drink the warm fluids throughout the Day:-
Start your morning by drinking a cup of warm water with the juice of half a lemon. (Don't add honey. It may harmful for your body to add honey in warm water.)
This simple tonic stimulates digestion and cleanses impurities.
Then continue sipping plain hot water throughout the day to dissolve Āma.
IMMUNITY BOOSTER DRINK
(Ayurveda has no relation to that type of drink so don't think that this is an Ayurveda)
It can also beneficial for respiratory health.
Boil two quarts of water. Add 3 leaves of Tulsi (holy Basil), 2 pieces of clove, some amount of ginger, 2-3 leaves of mint, and 2 pinches of Indian sarsaparilla. Strain and sip throughout the day.
It is recommended by Ayurveda for boost our immunity and specially for maintenance of respiratory system.
