- We can not imagine the world without eyes, we can say that the eyes are a window of our Soul.
- According to Ayurveda Eyes are the seat of Pitta Dosha,and most eye problems are the reason of the pitta imbalance.
- Today I will writing this blog on some eye care routine and some home remedies that can help to improve your eyes and helps you remove lens or glass.
- so,without any further delay, Let's get started.
Get rid of eye problems
1]. Netr tarpan :-

Netra Tarpan is the clinical procedure of Ayurveda mentioned by aacharyas in ancient texts.
This treatment aims to provide optimum rejuvenation to eyes.
Dough of Urad (black gram) is put around the eye ball in such a way that a dam like appearance is seen.
Then herbal healing ghee (clarified butter) is put in this groove to lubricate the eye and surrounding areas which will be kept warm for 30 – 35 minutes.
This provides improved vision with beautiful eyes and strengthening of eye tissues.
Benefits of netra tarpana
- It Cleanses eyes by removing dust from the cornea.
- Moisturizes the dry eye.
- Improvises blurred vision.
- Reduces burning of eyes.
- Aids in the improvement of eye disturbances and thus improves clarity of the mind.
2]. With the help of Yoga nad Pranayama:-
Daily practice of yoga and Pranayama is the best solution of your eye problems as well as it helps in the increase your skin glow.
Kapalbhati and Nadi shodhana pranayama(also known as anulom vilom or suryabhedi Pranayama) both are the best yoga practices for the eye.
Do it on Daily basis at least half an hour a day.
3]. Tratak :
Trataka is a form of meditation also known as ‘concentrated gazing’.
Trataka is originally one of the shatkarmas, or ‘six actions’ used to cleanse the internal organs.
How to practice it?
- First of all Light the candle and place it at eye level, ensuring it does not flicker.
- Sit in a comfortable meditative posture with the hands on the knees in jnana or chin mudra.
- Set an intention or simply breathe slowly to relax the body and develop stillness.
- Close the eyes, and eventually open them, gazing at the centre of the candle flame, just above the wick.
- Try to keep the eyes steady without blinking.
- Gaze for as long as possible without straining the eyes, and then close them when you need to
- With the eyes closed, turn the gaze up to the centre of the eyebrows.
- Try to keep the image of the flame in your awareness for as long as possible, focussing upon it and studying any colours that may appear
- When the image eventually disappears, repeat the process, continuing for 5-10 minutes
- If the mind wanders, focus upon the breath, imagining the breath flowing in and out of the eyebrow centre.
Practice it once or twice a week.
4]. Use of Ayurvedic Herb for eyes :-
maha trifala ghruta and abhrak bhasma :-
half spoon of maha trifala ghruta along with 350 mg (milli gram) of abhrak bhasma.
Have it 30 minutes before bad time.
massage of maha trifala ghruta:-
Massage of maha trifala ghruta in your sole of feet. Because the nerves in the feet are directly connected to optic nerve. So it's a good for your eyes.
Eye drops of maha trifala ghruta:-
put 2 drops of maha trifala ghruta in each eyes before you sleep.
*Instruction:- Maha trifala ghruta is a Dangerous not Only because of efficacy, safety or non toxicity but only because of it is simple and therefore threatens the med perception that eye should be only be treated by doctors.
Eye care Tips :-
1]. Eye wash routine :-
develop a habit of your eye wash daily in the morning, it may helps to cure some serious problem of eyes.
first of all fill the water in your mouth so your eye muscle can expands easily. Then wash your eyes with water.(you can splash the Water)
for the next level of eye Washing you can purchase the eye wash cup.fill it with the 10 to 15 drops of rose water along with water.
put it on your eyes and try to touch your eyes to rose water and rotate your eye ball.
it's an amazing method to clean your eyes also describe in ancient texts.
2]. Powerful drink for your eyes :-
take 5 almonds, 4 seeds of black peepers put it in the mortar and grind it with pestle and make paste of it. [you can add some mishry (rock sugar)].
Add it in one glass of milk and boil it. After boiling do not strain out the mixture.
then drink it sip by sip after getting normal temperature.
3]. Tips for office workers (employs) :-
take a break from screen after every 30 min. And drink some water.
then run your palms and put it on your eyes.
Blink your eyes more.
wash your eyes when you go for washroom.
use the gray mode or dark mode in your computer or phone and also use the screen guard.
protect your eyes with sunglasses in high sunlight.
Some Worst Habits which you should ignore for your eye health :-
1]. Screen Time :-
more screen time is most harmful factor your eyes. When we seats the in front of computer or mobile screen, our eyes become dry and redress is also occurs in the corner of eyes.
it's a very harmful for our eyes.
We should try to reduce our screen time, it is in our hand that how many hours we should seat in front of screen.
If you are working in office and you must have the work on screen then, don't worry.., just try to take a break after a 30 minutes and go have some water. It helps to keep your eyes hydrated.
2]. Rubbing the eyes :-
Rubbing of your eyes seriously damaged you eye blood vessels.
Another thing is, If your fingertips or palm is not clean then germs can transfer from your palm to eyes.
If you have etching in your eyes, just clean your eye or you can touch gently, But never rub it or press the eye ball.
3]. Reading while travelling :-
Yes, Reading while travelling is harmful for your eyes.
Because Texts of your book or screen are moving and vibrating continuously. So it is difficult to focus on texts for your eyes.
So avoid unnecessary chatting or reading the books. You can replace it by audiobook.
4]. Working in low light :-
working in low light is also harmful. After long time it may be the reason of weakness of you eye muscle (ciliary muscle).
Don't use your smartphone when your room lights are off.
Always work in proper lights.
Some Food you should includes in your Diet:-
• Amla (Phyllanthus emblica)
• Nuts and legumes
• Citrus fruits like lamon, orange and Grapes
• Carrots and Sweet potatoes
