Our mouth is a reflection of overall health. Your Oral health is a mirror of your internal body.
mouth is connected to various organs of body through the network of veins.
So, for optimal health it is extremely important to maintain proper oral hygiene.
Plaque, tooth decay, bleeding gums, Bad breath, tooth cavity and tooth sensitivity are the common problems nowadays.
Because more than 82% people take oral and dental care lightly.
But don't worry we can cure more than 90% of problems at home.
So, let talk about it......
Some Points you should remember for oral & Dental Health:-
1] Using a toxic tooth paste?

Which tooth paste do you use? Ask it your self.
Because over 90% tooth paste in the Indian market are loaded with cosmatic colours, detergent, parabens and other harsh chemicals.
Especially SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) and Fluoride.
SLS is registered as an insecticide and regular use may leads to heart, kidney or liver problems after long time.
If your tooth paste contains fluoride, then be careful, Surely Dentist recommended but you should know that ingesting just 2.8 gm Fluoride can kill a 50 kg adult, better switch to herbal tooth paste which one is SLS and fluoride free.
2]. Brushing just after meal?
Actually you are attacking on your teeth by brushing it just after meal. Never do that.
Because just After meal, pH level of oral cavity highly decreased and due to acidic environment your enamel is already damaged, then brushing over it is literally like attack on your teeth.
pH level of oral cavity automatically balances in 30 minutes after meal through saliva which is alkaline in nature.then you can wash your teeth and use brush for it.

Majority people do brushing in the wrong way.
Brushing the tooth is not a rocket science. But many problems like bleeding gums can occurs due to brushing in the wrong way.
Brushing should always be done in circular motion, not a horizontally & not a back and forth and also covers the corner areas.
Use soft bristled brush, hard bristled brush can damage your gums. And replace it every 3 months.
4]. Not cleaning the tongue?
cleaning of tongue is as important as brushing.
According to Ayurvedic literature scrapper made up of copper metal is best for cleaning your tongue.
If you want to get rid of bad breath then must cleane your tongue after brushing with Scrapper.
5]. Do you have a habit of tooth pick after meal?

If yes then you should try to an overcome this habit , as it is bad. Really bad for your teeth.
Regular tooth picking can leads to increasing space between your teeth.
It also damage to the gums and leading to the bleed.
Nail biting, chewing pen/pencil and use your teeth as a toolbox is not recommended.
6]. Rinsing the mouth after meal :-
• If you want to increase the life of your teeth and gums then do follow this habit.
• Every time when you eat something drink something ,make sure that you go and wash your mouth. Spend at least 10-15 seconds for it.
7]. Oil pulling :-
Oil pulling is the ancient technique for flush out toxin from your mouth.
Oil pulling is also mentioned in Ayurvedic texts as a gandusha.
Every morning in empty stomach take a tablespoon of oil and fill in your mouth, Swish it around mouth for 10-15 minutes, then spit the oil out.
Which oil should we use? You may ask..
Use sesame oil if you are suffering from digestive problems.
If you have a bleeding gums then go for coconut oil.
If you are suffering from tooth cavity then use sesame oil with 2 to 3 drops of clove oil mixed in it.
8]. Use dantmanajan ( Tooth powder) :-
Brushing is good but if you want to take care of your teeth at next level then use dantmanajan.
Massage the powder on you gums. You may amaze to know that your gums are directly connected with your intestine through the network of veins. So it can be activate the intestinal activities also.
9]. Chew twigs :
the barks of trees like neem, babool, mango, pomegranate, arjun, bael have Exceptional anti microbial properties.
